Superheroes

I am pretty sure that if I was in awe in Boston, then I’m going to be speechless in Florida. I cannot wait. I know that I will not get to meet all of the Diabetes superheroes, but I will likely get to see them, or hear them speak and I’ll still be in awe. Now I sound like a broken record. I can’t wait.

When someone posted on the YLC Facebook Page that there was going to be a Glu Launch Party in Boston, I said, hell yes I’ll go!  And I assumed that most of my YLC peers said the same thing.  Now that I live even further west of Boston, I am late to everything that happens during the week.  I love not living in the city, but it also sucks sometimes. So I showed up to this launch party eagerly looking for Kate and I spotted her as soon as I walked in.  A quick greeting of hugs occurred and as I looked around for more familiar faces, I found none, and I found a ton.  I did not find any more of my YLCers, but Kate said “Briley, do you know Manny?”  And I was all “oh no we haven’t met” and I can only hope that I…

    You are going to have a BLAST!! And I’m super thrilled that I get to meet you in real life.

    On the morning of the opening breakfast, I want you to walk in one of the corner doors. It’s the best way to be knocked over by the sheer size of this thing. And to think, everyone there is there for type 1 diabetes. It’s incredible. 🙂
