Things to Do

May 6, 2013

I know that you love it when I ask politely (beg) for you to come join me and have a great time for the sake of diabetes, so I here I am again.

First of all, it’s here! it’s here! it’s here!  The Fourth Annual Diabetes Blog Week is here!  It’s hosted by Karen over at Bitter-Sweet and if you haven’t checked her out, what are you waiting for! The first time I participated in it, was just after my trip to Kentucky and I was impatiently waiting so I could write that, while also loved being immersed in so much wonderful writing.  I always find new blogs that I love and I hope you will do the same.  If you want to see what I wrote in the past, you can do that here and here.  If you’re thinking, “hey, that looks like fun, but I don’t blog,” you can make yourself a profile here, or I will gladly host you!  Just leave me a comment or an email and we can set that fun stuff up!  It starts on May 13 and runs through the rest of the week.  I can’t wait to see you there!

DBlog Week 2013

You know I love the YLC.  There is no doubt in my mind that my life is richer with these people in it.  On May 18, in conjunction with the Bay State JDRF Gala, the YLC is hosting Toast a Cure.  Unfortunately we don’t all have the kind of money needed to attend the gala (which is okay!)  That doesn’t mean that what we can give is any less valuable.  So please!  Get out those suits & party dresses and come join us for drinks, desserts and dancing!  My goal this year is once again to not let diabetes ruin my night (and be more prepared!)
