Caffeinating
There’s not much better than a weekend with friends. Sometimes a little planning has to happen though and that is exactly what happened this weekend. Jetting off to see Lisa and Amy was definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made recently. Yes I was awake at 4AM on Saturday morning and yes I didn’t get home till nearly midnight and yes I’ll be heavy caffeinating today, but it was worth it. I think you know a friend is a friend when you’ve never met them and it seems completely normal to say “I’m going to see my friends” rather than “I’m going to meet new people.” There were oh so many laughs and discussions and stories and just all around good times.
The added benefit of meeting friends I’ve met through diabetes is the unintentional group testing, the ability to have someone to talk to about what the carb count is, how your basal rates affect you & “ugh this number!” And I even got a little bit of diabetes Christmas to bulk up my sensor stash. As it was time to go, I wanted to channel my inner child and throw a tantrum. I just didn’t want it to end. Until next time…
pictures. pictures. pictures. pictures. pleeeease. also what color did Lisa dye your hair? Blue? Purple?
We didn’t take any pictures! Other than food… And the only one who went after my hair was Ever 🙂
