HAWMC: Superpower
Superpower Day. If you had a superpower – what would it be? How would you use it?
(Aside from being cured) My superpower would be telekinesis. I mean, in the life sense, how could would it be to say “I want to be at place X” and then be at place X within moments?! That just sounds awesome. In regards to my life with diabetes, sometimes travel gets interfered with. When I got my license, my mother had me sign a contract saying that I would always test before I sat behind the wheel. If I was perfect, I’d say that I have, but I’m not, so I haven’t. I do, however, try to more often than not. If I had the power of telekinesis, I wouldn’t need this contract.
Imagine that day where everything that COULD go wrong is going wrong (not diabetes) and you need to leave or you’re going to be late. You’re walking (running) to the car when the weakness overtakes your body. You know that you’re blood sugar is low AND you know that you don’t have time to be low. You correct and correct and correct and then correct some more just in case. You turn on the car and press the pedal to the metal and PRAY that there are green lights and no cops. Now telekinesis can’t make your bad days disappear, but it would make it so that diabetes is not the reason for being tardy.

Yes, yes!!! I think everyone in the DOC should have telekinesis! Then we could have huge meet up all the time! How cool would that be??
