Diabetic Prayer
November 2, 2011
It’s diabetes awareness month, and I had so many posts thought up. But the problem is that life happened and has kind of gotten in the way. Instead, I leave you with this:
DIABETIC PRAYER
Our Pancreas, Who Art Failed Us;
AWOL be they claim;
Thy hypo come, injections shall be done;
At home as they were in the clinic.
Give us this day our daily dosage;
And forgive us that cream cake;
As we forgive them who scoff them before us.
And lead us not into Thorntons;
But deliver us from ketones;
The thirst and the tiredness, the glucose and the blood levels;
Forever and ever, Insulin.
(Thank you Meghan for posting this on my Facebook so I can share it with the rest of the DOC.)

Love it! I think I need to put this somewhere so I can read it whenever.
