Opening Act
*This will not be my #Simonpalooza post. But I need to write something about it, and my brain is only focusing on how tired it is today.
Friday at 6PM: Ready to leave work
Friday at 6:30PM: Leave work headed to a high school football game
Friday at 6:55PM: Get off the phone with Mom to tell her where I am and ask where they are, so I can meet them when I get to the game
Friday at 7PM: Rain starts coming down in sheets and as everyone slams on their brakes, I get slammed.
Friday at 8PM: Get back to my apartment and wait for my parents
Friday at 10PM: Ask the ER doctor if he thinks I’ll be able to drive to RI Saturday morning, then survive a car ride & train ride & walking around the city. He tells me to use my best judgement and if I go, to bring Motrin.
Saturday at 1AM: Arrive home in NH and fall into bed
Saturday at 4:45 AM: Alarm goes off and I feel my low more than my sore body. Find sugar and KNOW that I will be going to NY for #Simonpalooza.
Saturday at 5:30 AM: Leave NH for #Simonpalooza
Saturday at 830 AM: Leave RI with Kerri for CT for #Simonpalooza
Saturday at 10:30 AM: Leave CT with Kerri & Karen for #Simonpalooza
Saturday at 12:30 PM: Hear “YOU MADE IT!?” from Simon himself.
And that made the whole experience worthwhile 🙂
I’m so glad you weren’t seriously hurt. And also glad you made it & we got to meet on Saturday 🙂 I hope you’re feeling better soon.
