First Step to Fine Tuning
I’ve got an endo appointment coming up sometime in August. (Of course it’s not on my calendar yet, so when I find the time I have to go searching for the paper telling me when it is.) And my details of diabetes management have apparently left, and I need to get back on that bandwagon, since it will be the first time with the new doc. But this is the thing, I’ve been eating really well, and I’ve been exercising more than I have in a long time. (Except this week it’s a little different because of the heat) So I’m hoping that my lapse in fine-tuned management hasn’t made my diabetes go too crazy. And I’ve been testing. But I haven’t been using sugar stats like I used to. I’m definitely a visual person seeing those graphs really helps me. I can pay attention to particular times of day to see if I notice patterns, and what might be causing it. And if you say “upload your pump!” That requires the know-how. I’m sure I could figure it out, but it also requires more time paying attention to something. So I’m starting one day at a time. And first I want to make sure that I am under 200. If I can do that on a daily basis, then I’ll go back and fine tune even more. So far, that’s my plan. I’m not sure if it’s the best one, but it’s the one I’m going with right now.
*Apparently this heat is really getting to me. I forgot to finish and therefore post this earlier. So I think small steps are definitely going to be best for me right now.
That’s what I do when things get out of hand. Get it under 200 and go from there…it works! 🙂
